The Academic Community of De La Salle Santiago Zobel School joins De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) in actively campaigning against fraternities as they continue to pray for justice not only for Guillo Servando but for all victims of fraternity-related violence.
They also express their full support to DLS-CSB President, Br. Dennis Magbanua FSC and in his efforts to promote BROTHERLY CARE among students. Â Below is Brother Dennis’ Open Letter to Benildean students on the Recent hazing Incident:

My Dearly Beloved Students,ÂWe extend our sympathies to the Servando family and our prayers to the families of ourÂstudents who were also injured due to hazing.ÂÂOur school does not condone any formation of fraternities. They are not welcome here.ÂÂThis is our house, not theirs.ÂÂThese gangs are not allowed to use the hallowed name of our school. Brother Benilde is aÂsaint and we will never allow the name of Benilde to be tarnished by any group that usesÂviolence in order to form a brotherhood.ÂÂOur school will not stand idly by and let injustice happen. Facts are being unearthed toÂshed light on what has happened. Individuals who will be discovered to be involved withÂthe recent hazing incident will be given due process and will be meted out appropriateÂsanctions.ÂÂJust say ‘no’ to fraternities when they recruit you. When you say no, you will be a victor andÂnot a victim. We are currently taking additional, concrete steps to make this home of oursÂmore secure.ÂÂBeing Benildean is about:ÂBrotherly Care not Brutal HazingsÂ
and Real Friendships not Ruthless Frats.Â
Therefore, choose God not Gangs.Â
ÂÂIn Saints La Salle and Benilde,ÂÂ(SGD)BR. DENNIS M. MAGBANUA FSCÂPresident and ChancellorÂÂ02 July 2014Â Â
