DLSZ Advocates "Ako ay Lasalyano, Tapat na Pilipino"

In line with the school’s efforts to celebrate the 100 Years of Lasallian Presence in the Philippines, DLSZ fully supports the Lasallian Youth Commission (LYC) in advocating Ako ay Lasalyano, Tapat na Pilipino – a movement towards realizing the Lasallian Core Values through nationalism and patriotism.

Together with the other sixteen De La Salle schools in the Philippines, DLSZ  will hold a synchronized Flag Ceremony and Renewal Mass on Friday, July 1, 2011.  During the morning assembly, all are expected to join in reciting the Prayer for Change, singing of the National Anthem and the Alma Mater Song.  A Philippine flag shall be offered during the Eucharistic Celebration.
Based on the directive from the LYC, this “activity hopes to teach Filipino Lasallians that it is through traditional practices where we build the foundation of our values and identity.  This is our symbolic endeavor in witnessing to the restoration of our dignity and integrity to the nation’s cause in fighting for a just society.”
In conjuction with this activity, all students are expected to come in their black centennial shirt, denim pants and rubber shoes;  new students may wear any black shirt;  all employees should wear their white centennial shirt or any while La Salle shirt.
