DLSZ Fencers Shine in Senior Ranking Competition and Gear Up for World Championships

Our DLSZ fencers showcased once again their skills last March 15-16, 2025 at the second leg of the Seniors PFA Ranking (SEA Games Qualifiers). Congratulations to Miyake Capina (DLSZ 2027) for winning bronze in the Senior Women’s Foil! It was a hard-fought semifinal match, ending in a close 13-15 score.  

Here are some of the notable finishes:  

– Senior Men’s Sabre – Vito Coching  (DLSZ 2026)- 9th place

– Senior Women’s Foil – Martina Baccay (DLSZ 2027)- 18th place  

Looking ahead, Miyake Capina (DLSZ 2027) and Vito Coching (DLSZ 2026) will proudly represent the Philippines at the World Cadet and Junior Championships in Wuxi, China, from April 5 to 15, 2025. They will be accompanied by Coach Ramil and Coach Gian.
